Not Parenting: Three Tips for a Relaxing Day

A day can feel like a century when you are caring for a child and by the end of the day your brain refuses to function. Following tips these creates a calm, clear head and then you end up being kinder to yourself and those around you.

  1. Fuel Up! Pack water, nuts, berries, bars and fruit for YOU. Keeping yourself fueled and hydrated will give you more clarity of mind and have the energy to blast through your day.
  2. Slow down. Tune into your natural pace of performing activities, then allot time to perform duties at that pace. It will help lessen that rushed feeling which causes mental stress, bodily tension and a frazzled day.
  3. Quiet Time. Even after your child stops napping, block out a certain time of the day when everyone has time for themselves to read a book, play quietly, or get work done. Everyone needs space to breathe and think alone.
